What are the requirements & documents needed to apply?

You must submit official copies of your highest educational transcript and/or diploma. If you’re in the final year of your programme, you may submit a partial or unofficial transcript detailing your current achievements. Acceptance of such applicants is contingent upon receiving an official diploma and transcripts before the beginning of studies. In addition to the transcript and diploma, you need to submit your CV with up-to-date achievements. Depending on your programme, additional documentation is required:

  • High-tech Entrepreneurship, Digital Marketing, Product Management & Digital Transformation: Capstone Project Proposal

  • Interaction Design: Portfolio

  • Front-end Development: Front-end Challenge

  • Technical programmes: Maths and Computer Science Test

  • Optional: Recommendation letters

What language are the courses taught in?

All our courses are in English. Your abilities to convey your thoughts in English and whether it’s sufficient to engage during the classes are evaluated during the interview. We don’t require tests like IELTS as proof for admissions.

Is there accomodation provided?

Accommodation is not provided by Harbour.Space. However, we can connect you with alums and current students with space available. We will also add you to the student accommodation group upon your request and provide you with an accommodation guide. We can also recommend some student organisations that could help you find housing.

Do I need a visa?

For our campus in Barcelona, all students from Non-European Union countries must obtain a student visa in their countries. For our campus in Bangkok, all non-Thai national students must first submit the documents to the local Thai Embassy or Consulate to apply for a visa in their countries, following the process of applying to the COE (Certificate of Entry). A student visa will allow the holder to remain in either Spain or Thailand to seek studies, research or training programmes.

What is the refund policy?

Unless otherwise specified, deposits are used solely for reserving a place and are non-refundable.  (1) In cases of visa refusal,  and  (2) Subject to the student complying with the School's visa refusal refund policy. If you change your mind after enrolling in a course, we can no longer refund your deposit.

What is the refund policy?

For our Summer course on campus in Barcelona, all students from Non-European Union countries must obtain a Schengen visa in their countries to be allowed to stay in Europe legally. As the programme's longevity is a maximum of 3 months (in case you will take all three opportunities to study in Barcelona in Harbour.Space), you are not obligated to have a student visa.

What level of English proficiency is required?

As all of our courses are taught in English, we require that our students speak and comprehend English well. Your abilities to convey your thoughts in English and whether they will be good enough to engage during the courses is required.

When should I apply?

The deadline to apply for the Barcelona Summer courses Programme is June 30th, 2023. Therefore, we recommend applying as soon as possible to ensure that there is a place available within the course (and to have time to process your visa application, if required).

Visa support

All applicants are responsible for their own visas. In the case you should need assistance, Harbour.Space issues an official personalized invitation letter necessary for visa purposes.

We kindly ask participants to come prepared to avoid wasting time configuring your computer system at the event.

What are the technical requirements?

The requirements are as follows:

Any browser would work with the testing system, no special clients are required for the system.

The testing will be run on computers based on Linux.

To compile programmes written in C/C++ on Linux-based laptops you will need a compiler compatible with gcc 4.9 (or higher); Geany or Code::Blocks of the latest version are recommended as IDE. Similar or newer versions of compilers are recommended for Mac users as well.

For Windows it is recommended to use Code::Blocks (if possible, choose the distribution kit with a compiler included) and Geany; using Visual Studio is recommended starting from Visual Studio 2013 (although for full compatibility it's better to have Code::Blocks and a gcc port).

To compile and debug programmes written in Java it is recommended to use the latest version of Oracle JDK. As IDE you can use Eclipse and IntelliJ IDEA.
